Dev CD won't install!

I just went to install the Developer.pkg on my Developer CD, but the install fails! The installer sits on Examining Package Contents for a long period of time, then moves to Configuring Installation for another length of time. Finally it gets to Writing Files for a few seconds, then stops, saying, "There were errors installing the software. Internal archine error. Please try installing again." Of course trying again produces the same error.

Does anyone have this problem? I am installing on a Pismo, and this is from the Dev Tools CD fresh out of the box. Damn, I really wanted to start learning this stuff!

Installation was really slow but was fine other wise on my AGP G4. Maybe you just got a bad CD.

Well, I got it. It took a reboot or two. And then the install was so slow I didn't think it was working right. The CD was off-balence and made a huge amount of vibration, adding to my concern. But in the end, I got it.

Can anyone recommend some Cocoa tutorials?
