It's basically very stupid (I think) but, may be someone is looking for an idea of coding something....it would be good to have a version of this for OSX.

I noticed that there are no meters for OsX yet....
cheers

I'll code it if you can find a good place that outlines the relationships between environmental variables and life expectancy (which don't requiring reading 100 page books) (also, might as well do more than just smoking)

I'll be glad to pitch in and help you would if you would like. I'll write it in Java for you.. From the looks of it there is nothing to it. Seems that you just select the day, how many cigs you had on a normal day/hour etc.. and it pretty much counts down.. nothing to it.

It's a little tricker than that. You have to calculate how many days of your life each cigarette you smoke takes away. Plus, consecutive days of smoking has a larger impact than spreading it out more. I was going to do it in Obj-C, but I want to see what I'm dealing with before I do any planning. It's going to be pretty easy, but easy projects like this can become real pains if you don't start off right. Plus, I want to conclude the impact of other environmental factors... but we'll see. So... I'm still waiting for either the algorithm or a reference to where I can find the algorithm. Someone does the research, I'll do the coding
