I set my 'computer name' in the internet pane of system preferences, but the terminal still shows 'localhost' at the prompt.
All other networking (i.e. DNS) is working fine.
Ideas? Netinfo, perhaps?
Cheers,
Fraser

you must edit the file /etc/hostconfig
find this part of the file:
# Network configuration
HOSTNAME=<your hostname>
ROUTER=<your router or leave alone for dhcp>
------------------
--whew, it was getting hot under that NDA!!

The /etc/hostconfig path probably works, but I used /bin/hostname to set it, and it seems to have done the trick.
