Well, I got my Mac OSX.

Trying the same app I posted about a few days ago, I can say that performance is substantially better in final than it was in public beta. Not many surprises there.

There are still sluggish parts of the system, and some funky errors that crop up. Mostly, I think these have to do with drawing and events:

kCGSErrorInvalidOperation : CGSClearWindowDirtyRegion: not locked

and

MouseTracker: Event was not handled after 10000ms: java.awt.event.MouseEvent[MOUSE_DRAGGED,(358,407),mods=16,clickCount=0] on frame0

any ideas?

Put this together with Project Builder and OSX java development is looking a lot nicer than LinuxPPC.

Hooray!

It's just some left-over diagnostic code, don't worry about it

The first error might be, but I don't believe the second one is. It's likely related to a pretty horrendous bug in the Java drawing code that's documented in the release notes at http://developer.apple.com/java

It's to do with drawing vertical & horizontal lines with a Shape. Apparently this is fixed, but not in the GM release.
