Is it possible to change the icon of a file/folder programmatically (is that a word?). I was thinking that it wouldn't be too hard to make a CMM that could paste on a different colored folder. Whenever I used labels, I mostly used it for coloring folders. Anyone have any insight into how hard this would be?

Off the top of my head, it doesn't sound especially hard. But it doesn't sound especially useful, either. From what I understand, the point of labels was to have categories of files. That way, you could sort or search for files based on the category they're in. The icon changing color was a visual way of representing this. If you're interested in just changing icons' colors, why not just use a graphics program and cut-and-paste?
