Well, i started my DL over an hr ago. 200MB//218, will be done in 5 min. Going to connect.apple.com right now, however, says site down for maintenance.

Maybe they take it offline/maint so they don't get flooded by DLs?

Same here, no tools on the download page. Did they just post them for paying developers?

Perhaps they will be available for the rest of us in a few days.

I do have a software seed key, yes. (I think i'm allowed to admit to that.

I've seen things dissappear and reappear from the connect site before. I think they do it for load balancing. I'd just keep checking back.

Because that's not the new ones. The new ones have a date of Dec 4th. They're definitely there for paying members, so I'd expect them to show up for online members soon.

this is hearsy, still: on versiontracker someone said it had been in the pb mailing list it would be available to mortals like us in the week of 12/10.

the waiting is not that bad. it's the fact you know they're out and you don't have 'em.

Anyone know if this version includes AppleScript Studio, or will that be a separate download?

And what other additions/changes are there?

AppleScript Studio is indeed included.

The biggest change is documentation. Go look at Apple's website in the Cocoa docs. Remember all those programming topics links that just had "description forthcoming?" Every single one of them is filled in with great documentation now.

The tools are available to Select and Premier developers now, and will be available to online developers next week.

My apologies for not clicking on every link on the page.

How about this:

Almost all topics now have documentation.

WTF ever happened to the concept of the coupla meg upgrade? almost every time a new version of an OS X app comes out the upgrade is the same size as the original file. does it really need 180MB download to update the dev tools? they can't have updated every single line of code, can they?
