I'm looking for an command line utility that will encode a file with a resource and data fork in MacBinary so that it can be safely transmitted via ftp (or any other single-fork file transfer protocol). Often I find myself telnetted into an OS X computer needing to transfer a file that has a resource fork. It's times like that when a CLI MacBinary-encoder would come in handy. And don't tell me to use Stuffit to encode the file, unless you can find me a command line version of Drop Stuff. Anyway, I hear that there's a utility that does this that's called "Megatron" and comes with LinuxPPC in the netatalk package. All I can seem to find in LinuxPPC is the netatalk RPC file, which naturally won't do me much good under OS X. So would ANYONE be able to help me get ahold of a Darwin-compiled Megatron binary or at the very least its source code? Or even a similar app? Please?
