Has anyone gotten gnome-libs working on Mac OS X? I've tried but all attempts at compiling fail.

http://fink.sourceforge.net/

Download it, install under /sw (preferably), and then do "fink install gnome-libs". It has (rudimentary) dependency management, and it will download any required packages and install them for you. I've tried installing gnome-libs, and it works...

I know and use Fink but get this error:

Any suggestions?

I'm also having trouble with Fink. So far I've tried to install gimp and the gnome-core with Fink but the compilation fails on both. I have it installed in the SW directory, do it as root, and even try it under X Windows and it fails every time. Any tips?

Hm, it worked for me. A few times with fink I have had to setenv some variable; apparently fink doesn't always set up the packages correctly. Check the install log to see if there are any packages it can't find.

It will depart at 20 minutes to 5.

This isn't really the correct place to be reporting bugs in fink. If you are having problems, try the fink-users mailing list, I'm sure you can find it somewhere on the fink homepage.
