Since real isn't getting the job done, anyone want to look into porting Tinra - a real to avi converter from windows? Of course if possible converting it into MPEG or MOV would be much nicer

Looks like it could be ported to mac OS 9. There is even mac code in there already (he based it on sample SDK code, and left the mac parts in). However it uses the Realplayer G2 library (requires it) so it won't work on OSX until they ship realplayer for OSX.
