Here's my setup:
* G4 450DP
* 1GB RAM
* Single 30GB hard drive with 4 partitions:
* OS 9.2
* OS X 10.1.1 and 9.2 for Classic
* Applications
* Documents
Limited history:
I upgraded X from 10.0.4 to 10.1 shortly after it became available and then updated to 10.1.1. I installed the developer tools released in September after Apple made them available on the ADC site. I haven't run any of the applications since.
Here's the problem:
Yesterday, I tried to run MRJAppBuilder. Its icon showed up in the Dock, and it started to load but then stopped and give the "Application Unexpectedly Quit" message.
So, I then tried reinstalling the DevTools. It reached the point of examining the disk, and the hard drive started making a terrible clicking noise. After a few seconds of that, the installer "Unexpectedly Quit."
My next step was to look at the Readme for the DevTools to see if I had forgotten anything and to look at Apple's site. The latter had instructions to delete the original version of MRJAppBuilder and reinstall the DevTools. Tried that and got the same result from the installer.
I then re-downloaded the installer and tried again, but I got the same result.
Anyone have any suggestions at this point?
