I'm installing Stuffit Deluxe 6.5 and keep getting an 'access denied' error, does anyone have any idea what's going on?

Im logged in as the primary user, I have admin privilages, and I have done the exact same thing on other OSX machines without any problem, the only differences are that my hard drive is partitioned on this machine (X is on its own partition), and someone (not me ) installed the 10.0 Developer CD after updating to 10.1 (was that a bad idea?).

thoughts? suggestion? abuse?
