Check out Wacom's stance on OSX support for thier line of Tablets:

It appears that there's absolutely
no support plans for those of us who own pre-USB (ADB) Wacom Tablets
I'm certain there's a fair share of us who are running pre-USB systems that aren't too happy about this. I really don't wish to add a USB card to my Mac and purchase a whole new Tablet when I have already done so.
I implore the Mac community to write wacom and rally support for us Pre USB G3 users. Even if you
don't own a pre-USB system, every "voice" counts.

Here's what I wrote:
To whom it may concern:
I've recently acquired OSX on my 2 1/2 yr old Macintosh G3/266. I've owned an Intuos 4 X 5 Tablet (Model Number GD-0405-A) for about 2 yrs (plus or minus), and find it an extremely useful tool in my line of work (Computer Graphic Design/Computer Illustration).
As I look over your website I see plans for a beta release of an OSX Tablet driver planned for sometime this summer, however I see nothing planned for anything prior to the USB type tablets, particularly ADB tablets. Apples' own ADB Keyboard and Mouse still function perfectly under OSX.
USB is so recent by comparrison to ADB, I'm fairly certain many Mac owners may still be running older ADB port Wacom Tablets on thier Mac systems. The minimum system requirements that Apple has stated for OSX includes several "Pre-USB-Standard" Macintosh systems, which I feel should also be supported by third party hardware and software developers.
I know that your programmers are busy at work re-writing code for supporting OSX, but what about us ADB tablet users?
It's likely that many others including myself aren't too eager to have to upgrade to USB. I simply wish to avoid having to purchase a whole new wacom tablet, when I already did so.
I'd like to know if something is being done to facilitate ADB port type tablets on these pre-USB standard Macintosh systems that are otherwise supported by Apple. I will do my best to rally support for this.
I appreciate your time and consideration
Mike
Apple has stated that OSX will be supported on these systems, now we've got to make sure the software and hardware developers follow suit.
It's time to start looking for drivers, or looking to see what these manufacturers are planning to do for us, and voice our concerns if necessary.
