Firstly, you probably know that I'm one of the owners of X Themination (click the sig). We're practically finished the public beta of ThemeShop so we are opening a new project code-named: Red Cheetah.

What is Red Cheetah you ask? Its the ultimate expression in interface customisation. That may not mean much to you, but it is a seriously powerful piece of software. It'll rock your world.

Why are we pestering you about it? We need developers to make it happen as this is a little more than we can handle ourselves. If you're an actual group of developers that would be best, but individuals are also needed. Pay comes in a percentage of sales, kinda like shares in a company. The percentage is negotiable, but since we're not anxious to get rich it'll be very sweet. Seeing as past software like this for other OSes sold in near record numbers, this can't really miss. We do need good developers that aren't new to this, you have to be comfortable with every aspect of Cocoa and Carbon.

If we don't get much response here we'll make the project open to the public via a CVS server, much like Mozilla.

Remember, this is truely revolutional and undoubtly one of the biggest non-commercial project for OS X–ever.

If you wish to be part of this email me at one the following addresses:
mstoton@mac.com
matt@maccustomise.com
themeshop@mac.com
matthew@macnn.com

We expect to have more details for the general public in the coming weeks/days.

I just find it odd that you are claiming to be non-commercial but are talking about commissions (percentage of sales). It all just sounds like commercial software to me. (except the cvs part)

Its basically shareware. We aren't a commercial organization and we aren't doing this for money.

Yes, it really depends on whether or not we get individual developers, get a company to help or let the community help. If its the community then it'll be free, with the other two ways we have to be able to pay the people who develop it and pay for any other expenses.
