Has anyone had any luck trying to use Sun Microsystems Forte For Java? (Used to be called NetBeans).

For those who don't know, Forte is a Java IDE written in JAVA. You can download a .class installer that works on *ALL* systems with a JDK installed. For example...the same .class will install Forte on a Windoze NT, Solaris, PPC Linux, X86 Linux, etc..

I tried to run it on DP4 and it told me that I only had the JRE, not the JDK...
My copy of the Beta should get here today...but I was wondering if anyone had used Forte with X?
signatures are a waste of bandwidth
especially ones with political tripe in them.
