I have searched everywhere I can think of in OS X but cannot find where the flag icons (associated with different languages in System Pres/International/Keyboards) are located. Also found nothing in the available literature. Can anyone help?

Thanks! tom@bluesky.org

In /System/Library/Keyboards/Whatever.keymapping -- but the .keymapping files are binary and I don't know the format. Why do you want them, anyway?

I don't think so. Do you have a reference that suggests that? Several languages with flags have no corresponding keymapping file (all unicode, cyrillic, asian). You can flatten these files with QuickConvert and open with Iconographer, but no flag icons. Normally the flag icons are kept in kcs#, kcs4, kcs8 resources someplace.

Any other ideas? I want them for two main reasons right now. First, to find the Thai flag in 10.0 and connect it with the Thai keyboard I was able to transfer to 10.1 (flag was not included in uchr resource). Second, to connect custom flags with custom language keyboards in general.

Thanks for your help! tom@bluesky.org
