Hello,

I installed the public betA last night and I have been fairly impressed with it, thus far. Last night, i tried compiling HXD, to get myself a native hotline client and server, more info on HXD can be found at the following links:

Source Code:
http://hx.fortyoz.org/

DP4 Compiling Instructions:
http://vivahx.com/guides/compile_hxd_in_osxdp4-rev2.txt

Now let me give you a rundown, last night on the public beta everything went fine up until step eight, the commandline complained that 'compiling' couldn't continue without 'gcclib', I d/led gcclib from ftp.gnu.org, but I am really at a loss as to how to install it.

Did apple cripple the commandline in the public beta for my protection? Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Cheers,

--Mike

Yes, apple left the dev tools out of MacOS PB for your "protection". If you know what you're doing, you can move the tools over from Darwin and use those to compile hxd and hx. I've even seen a copy of hx on OSX PB with crypto enabled. Maybe a howto will go up on vivahx soon
