Has anyone installed beta on top of darwin? I am curious since i installed and set up darwin on my free partition, now beta should be here soon and it would be nice to keep my tools/settings intact...

When installing OS X PB I haven't heard of being able to install it on top of your existing OS, being Darwin. You can however install OS X PB on the partition, but it will remove Darwin. You may try doing a custom install installing all the key components, excluding Darwin and see if it recoginizes Darwin, and then install the rest over the Darwin base.

Let me know what you do, and what happens.

just installed osX on top of darwin, here is the report:

there was a customized install option, but I was unable to uncheck anything, so just proceded with the standard install (not clean!)

as I expected, it kept all directories that were there, integrating itself with what already existed - since I had installed php, apache, configured network settings in darwin; all that stayed - I still had to tinker with some settings but overall it was quite an easy installation...

moments after installing, I started up apache (the one I installed in /usr/local/apache) and was serving webpages!
