Hi. I really want to make a small little program that would allow me to use the keyboard to control iTunes from any other program that I'm in. I know that the program beHear, a classic app, is a floating window that controls SoundJam and Audion with a small little floating palette. I believe it was made using RealBasic. I believe it uses AppleScript to control Audion and SoundJam. I tried opening up the dictionary for iTunes and I found nothing. If iTunes isn't scriptable, is there a way to control it otherwise?
I'd like to know the best way to go about creating this application. I am not much of a programmer right now. I just know a little C but I'm taking a summer course here at school that's supposed to be really intensive and I will learn Java. Is that necessary to do this? Can I do this in RealBasic? I'd gladly pay the price for RealBasic and learn how to use it just for the ability to make this program. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
