This may be a redundant post, but when to us normal folk get all the goodie Developer Tools?

the impression i'm under is that the only people who will have access to the dev. tools are adc members, which basically means if you want them, you have to pay a few hundred for it.

Thats really not true, you can sign up as a user on the ADC website for free without paying, this lets you access the site and developer downloads. I assume apple will be posting the dev tools there (when they finally get around to it *sigh*) as they said they will be available for developers online in October.

If you are a student, sign up for the excellent Student ADC. I signed up about two weeks ago and I received my kit yesterday.

Yes it is true, even as a registred member you have to pay for the tools I couldnīt find the DeveloperTools for free download! Where are they?
You can download the 120 MB DarwinProject and extract the compiler using a little script. That gives you at least the cc, make, autoconf and automake. But not all the libs you will probabely need.

Actually, Apple will be posting them this month as a developer download so join the ADC you an get a free online account.
