Are there any UML modelers available for Os X? I've tried to get some of the Java CASE tools to work, but I've had no luck compiling them. If anyone can help, here's a good one to compile(http://argouml.tigris.org/).

argoUML is a great UML Modler. Version 0.8 (8.08.2000) seams to work fine without any modifications. In the terminal find the directory you extracted argoUML to and enter:
java -jar argouml08.jar

I beleive you can download argoUML from www.argouml.org.

Thanks, I just got it working. Now I just need to figure out how to get ArgoUML to accept the 2nd mouse button click. When right-click/ ctrl-click on an object, there should be a menu that appears, but it doesn't. Any suggestions?

I tried to use Together Whiteboard, but I just couldn't get it to work. Has anyone got it to work?

I tried Together Whiteboard and it ran, but not well enough to be usable. The problem is that Apple's implementation of Java sucks! I've tried several different types of java programs, none of which ran properly. So much for the mac being the "best Java development platform". If Apple ever gets Java working correctly I plan on evaluating Together's products as they would be an attractive replacement for Rational Rose, and allow me to work at home.

After messing around with Whiteboard I got it to run... sorta. The Os X java implementation does kinda suck. ArgoUML runs better, but it still isn't feature complete (I can't display stereotypes).
*sigh*

Chill kids. remember we are in a beta version. Man now I see why companies do not do public beta testing usually.

FYI, I have Together running on my RS6000 workstation under JDK 1.3. So far it's awesome. I've been able to do more with Together in the last 8 hours than I have with Rose over the last two years! I'm using the 30 day demo license and plan on trying it on a real application that I'm starting to design. I look forward to using it under OS X when Apple's java implmentation is more stable. The only drawback I've seen so far is the memory requirement - after playing around with a model, Together racked up a healthy 300 MB memory image.
