Has anyone out there got Perl talking to mySQL on Mac OS X PB ? My preferred method is the DBI/DBD modules, but I seem to have problems installing the mySQL DBD driver. The compilation goes OK, but all the tests fail.

Is it safe to ignore these tests and force a Make ? What am I doing wrong ?

Here's the error message that I get when I run 'make test' for the Perl DBD::MySQL module:
Code:
t/30insertfetch.....dubious Test returned status 66 (wstat 16896, 0x4200) t/40bindparam.......dyld: /usr/bin/perl multiple definitions of symbol _strtol /System/Library/Frameworks/System.framework/Versions/B/System(strtol.o) definition of _strtol ../blib/arch/auto/DBD/mysql/mysql.bundle definition of _strtol
Looks like there is a conflict between two definitions of _strtol - one of them is in the System, the other is built when compiling the DBD::MySQL driver module.

Does anyone know how to force the compiler to use the existing definition, or any other workaround ??

Thanks
