Console Message:

"dyld: /Developer/Applications/Project Builder.app/Contents/MacOS/Project Builder can't open library: /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/JavaKit.framework/Versions/A/JavaKit (No such file or directory, errno = 2)"

This is after a fresh install. I already tried reinstalling the Java update and reinstalling the devoloper tools... any ideas?

i don't remember where, but somewhere i read that someone else also had the problem and that the solution was to use pacifist to re-install the developer tools.

if i stumble over the url, i'll post it.

Using Pacifist, I just extracted the "JavaKit" file into it's proper location and Project Builder Launches right up.

Thanks!

Hmm... my version of Project Builder is also dependent on JavaKit.framework, and JavaKit.framework is indeed present in my PrivateFrameworks folder. However, the framework does not seem to be contained in the Essentials.pkg package or any of the updates, nor does it appear to be on the Mac OS X Install CD, according to my Locator index of that CD (seb2, you plugged my app, so one good turn... ).

Aha! Here it is, in the DevTools.pkg package. So you need to either reinstall the developer tools or get the JavaKit framework from the package using Pacifist.

[edit: never mind, looks like you solved your problem right before I finished posting this. ah well. sorry for the useless post.]

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist 2.5.2. Macworld - five mice!
