Does anyone know how to make Tomcat or another work with Apache on OS X PB? Can you point me to instructions for getting this set up and running? I believe Tomcat requires a native code component between Apache and the java environment.

You can pretty much follow the Tomcat install directions. I had a few problems getting it going, but it doesn't seem like a big deal in hindsight. But it's been a while so I can't recall any specific instructions for you.

There are other threads that deal with this issue... try november. I got everything working by reading those... you can compile mod_jserv.so out of the box by just downloading the jserv source and using apxs, but it has to be done in a specific file order which is documented in the threat. Best to use Tomcat 3.1 also for jserv. Need mod_jk for 3.2 to work properly. It is really slow with mod_jserv under 3.2.

I have the latest version of tomcat installed in PB. Check the following link:

It's pretty simple and it works great so far.

Hope it helps.
