I am having quite a bit of trouble compiling Netscape.

I am trying to install the libIDL-0.6.5 libraries.

When I make, the compiler stalls half way through with this error.

Does anyone know what to do? I really do not know much about unix os's, so please clarify.. Thanks.

That exact problem is due to the cpp barfing. Try recompiling with -traditional-cpp as an argument to cc.

But nobody has actually succeeded in compiling Mozilla (which I assume is what you mean by "Netscape", which is actually a company, and what you're saying is like "I'm trying to compile Adobe"). There has been some work on it at http://gnu-darwin.sourceforge.net and there's still some ongoing work, but it has never fully succeeded. I'm sure it will at some point in the future, though
