Any one know if the update will break project builder. I've heard that some beta releases did, just want to make sure the final will not.

I don't know, since I installed the 10.1 dev tools along with the OS. My guess is that it probably will. At one point I had 5G48 installed with the original dev tools, and cvs was broken. It wanted an older version of a library that got replaced. I didn't try the compiler or project builder.

Yes, it will prevent the pre 10.1 PB from running correctly.

Easy fixes though:

1) Order the $20 upgrade. Includes Dev Tools CD (note that the free giveaway CD set at retailers does not. why? Keep reading.).

2) Get 10.1 from a retailer for free. Go to http://www.apple.com/developer Sign on for free Online Developer account. Access your account, go to Downloads, then MacOS X, and download the developer tools.

The upgraded Dev Tools are free with 10.1.

I picked up the free update from the Plano, TX, Apple Store this morning and can verify that 1) there is no Developer Tools CD with the Instant Update and 2) the 10.0 Project Builder will not even start up under 10.1. Unfortunately, Apple doesn't have the 10.0 Developer Tools CD image available for Online members yet. It's supposed to be available in a few days.
