If some developer were to make a program that would batch create 128 x 128 finder icon thumbnails from say a folder of jpeg digital pictures I think a lot of people would use it.

I think there were similar programs in 9, haven't seen any in X yet. Though if there is something native that does this could you point me to it?

Really? I guess you've never used GraphicConverter for OS X, then.
