I'm looking for an example of making a document based application that is simpler than TextEdit. Any ideas?

You won't get much simpler than the text editor Mike Beam describes in one of his articles. Check out http://www.oreillynet.com/pub/a/mac/.../18/cocoa.html

Yes this is indeed simple, but not what I was looking for. I was thinking something that describes how to fill in the methods that are necessary in NSDocument subclasses. Something besides the NSDocument class description. Some implementation type of thing.
