I'm currently working on some stuff, and I'm unable to get JToolBar compoments to display when running it on OSX. I've tried the same code on JBuilder on a PC and the toolbar appears fine. I'm currently running the VM to use the Aqua look-n-feel for Swing, and I'm wondering if thats part of the problem. So I thought I'd ask here to see if anyone's gotten JToolBar to display in OSX, and if any special tricks. I dont want to post code here just yet.. in the interests of saving screen space, but will do if requested. Thanks.

I have a feeling that yours is a case where using the bridge would be a good idea.

JToolBar may be one of those "unpolished" areas.

I wrote a Swing app that used the "Aqua L&F". Then, I decided I'd try the bridged stuff for the UI. I noticed the speed difference was well worth the extra effort it took to learn to use IB and the bridge.

You might want to check out the CurrencyConverter tutorial. It doesn't show you how to modularize your code so it's simple to ship that 100% Java code along with an OSX-only version but that's ok.

Well, now I'm on to Obj-C and again, well worth the extra effort.
