Is it possible with the new System Preferences panels for someone to design a universal HID manager control panel, something akin to the good old GameSprockets? Something like USB Overdrive? Something that could map key commands to the gamepads/joysticks that we would use in OS X???

It's a shame that with all these great games coming out for OS X that we can't use our favorite peripherals.

What would be involved in doing such a thing?
