.... to my question about OSX Mail, if it's some kind of reusable system level object that can be used with browsers to achieve the same WYSIWYG web page editing tools that Explorer has on Win (using the "contenteditable" attribute).

This forum administrator told me that, du to some bad hack, your reply is lost. I'm pretty eager to hear your reply, because I find very, extremely little, people from the MAc community looking for such a tool.

Mail.app doesn't have a GUI editor for HTML (web pages). What it actually uses is a slightly squiffy RTF system. You can display HTML on OS X using NSTextView, and edit RTF using NSTextView too.
