Hey all -

I'm thinking about writing a tiny little app. and my biggest hurdle is going to be getting video from a firewire camera to my Mac. Basically, I'm looking for functionality close to iMovie. I can see the video on the screen, I can click a button, and the video imports and is able to be played back.

Does anyone know if Apple or any website/books documents such a task?
