Has anyone experienced the above problem. I did a clean install of both OS 9.1 and OS X, and I am still having problems getting the Developer Tools CD to install. Worked fine on my Powebook.

Trying to install on a DP 533 G4, straight from the factory.

Any words of advice?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

nevermind....

I finally found that you need to be or have root enabled to do a successful install of the developer tools package.

I was able to log in as root and was met with success.

Maybe this will help some other unfortunate souls....

I'm pretty sure you don't have to have root enabled. I don't think it was for me when I installed the devtools.
