I have downloaded this application called JBlurb which is a file sharing program, and am unable to compile it...I can't find the source file, all i can find are the .class files.
You can find JBlurb at http://www.jburb.com/index.html

Has anyone else compiled this application??

Thanks,
Ian

I can't get the website to load, so I don't know. My guess is that there may not be .java files open for public use... but that shouldn't matter. Remember the idea of java: compile once, run everywhere. So you shouldn't need to compile it, just execute it and see what happens.

the .class files are the compiled form of java applications.

Look in the third-party apps forum. There's a discussion there on how to run Java programs. If not there try the developer forum.

Solution! enter into your terminal:

java -jar JBlurb.jar

Thats it, thats all you have to do and the program will run. :-)

I'm not really sure what this program does, but thats how you run it.
Ghoser, lanto_Panto had the website wrong. Its www.jblurb.com, not www.jburb.com.

And so it is if you want the link to work. Ironically works fine typing it in. Go figure...A Microsloth product does not work right. ;-)

Actually it's UBB going screwy if you tack a trailing period onto a URL, if you to then you should enclose the URL in the tags as shown on http://forums.macnn.com/cgi-bin/ubbcode.html
