i am considering writing a cocoa system preference pane to allow easy management of internet protocol helpers. My question is this:

will jaguar do this for us? I dont want to waste my time doing this, if we are going to get it from apple with jaguar. Also, I realize the app 'vince' by monkeyfood does this, but I believe this should a pref-pane not an app.

The developer's preview of Jaguar does not include this.

The odd thing is that there is evidence in 10.0 that Apple was working on it. (look here: /system/library/preferencepanes/internet.prefpane/contents/resources/english.lproj/internetpref.nib)

Well heck! its would be trivial to wrap it up as a pref pane wouldn't it? why dont you do so? sell it for 5 bucks. i'll be your first customer. If not, why dont you open source all your hard work so far and i'll wrap it up in a pref pane.
