As soon as I get a break from my current job I'm going to take the plunge into Cocoa. This will be learning as preparation for the future, where I anticipate - in about a year's time - strong demand for Cocoa programmers will start to appear.

At present, I'm quite familiar with the C++ PowerPlant framework. It is second nature for me to subclass a PP library and implement my app with overriden functions, while making use of Mac OS Toolbox calls to augment my code.

Question: How much of this knowledge, or instinctive way for programming, will be of value under Cocoa?
