Has anyone else encountered this peculiar behavior? I'm following the steps in the Java Tutorial and I'm unable to double-click on a resource .nib file in Project Builder to open it in a resource editor. Every time I try Stuffit Expander opens up and it can't figure out what to do with the file.

I'd try opening some type of utility to reassociate file types but I can't find one of them either. This OS seems more unintuitive every day.

This happened to me when I first installed the tools, and then started immediately working with Project Builder.

Nib files are associated with Interface Builder (and are more than just resources). For some reason the association isn't set immediately, but I found that when I logged out and back in again, it all worked properly.

Okay, I'll just be patient then. :-)

Thanks for the tip.

Yep, that did it. After a reboot or two the resource launched Interface Builder.

It occurred to me later that relaunching the Desktop probably would have worked as well (Command-Option-Escape, click Desktop, click "Relaunch"). That way it doesn't require you to shut down what you're working on.

Anyway, glad to hear you got it working. :-)
