Hi guys I just downloaded the OS X 10.0.1 Dev Tools with the WO trial.... and I'm having problems getting Apache to run now. Here's the error message:

Syntax error on line 4 of /System/Library/WebObjects/Adaptors/Apache/apache.conf:
API module structure `WebObjects_module' in file /System/Library/WebObjects/Adaptors/Apache/mod_WebObjects.so is garbled - perhaps this is not an Apache module DSO?
How do I solve this? Do I recompile the WO module? TIA.

How were you able to install WO ? It asks for a license number, I thought you could install it as a demo developer license.

Sorry, can't answer your real question though.

I had the same problem. And yes, you're right. You just need to recompile and recopy the module to the apache modules folder. If you look around the WO documentation. I cant remember which PDF offhand, and I have to go soon, so I cant hunt it down right now, but somewhere, theres instructions how to compile the WO adaptor for apache and just go thru that stuff and then it should work.

Go to the apple discussion boards (WebObjects) and look for my post regarding this. It has a bit more information.

Hi Timster, thanks for the huge tip.... it worked for me too. For the terminally curious, here's the file with the proper steps :

file://localhost/System/Library/WebObjects/Adaptors/Apache/Installation.html

This file will get installed with the Developer Tools.
