hello everybody,

i wanted to script mail.app and tried to open its directory (if that's what it's called in the english version of os x; i'm talking about the menu item under "open script...") and all i get is an error dialog saying "*** +[NSArray arrayWithObject:]: attempt to insert nil" with two buttons "exit" and "continue", both result in another error.

happened in 10.0.3 and happens in 10.0.4, absolutely reprodruceable.

any ideas?

seems to work here... sounds like you're missing the dictionary component of your language-specific resources in mail.app. The dictionary is in a file called "Message.scriptTerminology" in the [Language].lproj folder (seems like your folder would be "German.lproj") that's in the Resources folder in the Contents folder of the app. Maybe try this:
Go to the "Mail" application in the Applications folder... control-click on its icon & select "Show Package Contents" from the menu. Then in the resulting window, open the "Contents" folder, and then the "Resources" folder in the next window. In the "Resources" folder will be the different language-specific resource folders. Try copying the file "Message.scriptTerminology" from another language folder to your language folder (maybe save the original somewhere just in case...) - shouldn't have privileges problems if you're the administrator. Then try the dictionary from Script Editor again (may need to restart "Mail").
Hope it works...
