Are there any plans for a 3d Studio Max Mac OS X version. I'm glad to see that we're going to get Cinema 4d and Lightwave, but Max is still probably the best modeler around. Hope to see a future Mac OS X version of it.

You ain't seen nothing yet until you've seen Maya.
If the modeller's as good as Alias PowerAnimator's... woohoo!

Seen Maya, very impressive, but have you seen the cost of the product!

Cost? Yes: $7500.
PowerAnimator was in the neighbourhood of $12,000 to $15,000 when I took my training course, so Maya's a bargain!
I have heard many people rave about how good Max is, but I've never had a chance to use it myself. I doubt it will be ported, which is unfortunate: the more the merrier.

i did 4 college classes with Max, its ok - very clunky interface.
From the limited work I've done with Maya its WAY better. Also it has soft bodied dynamics with are just plain cool.
I hope my college picks up a few copies for OS X.
