... besides the ones in the developer documentation. Any links available to a good clean step by step example with source? I've searched here but haven't found anything. I've looked at the Vermont Recipes, Omni's site, Stone Design, and elsewhere but haven't found any thing that focuses on this subject. Any help would be appreciated.

Well, what type of drag & drop are you looking for? I have some small little apps that I could send you source snippets from that use drag & drop onto the program icon (this is VERY easy to setup and works very well) and I have some code for dragging from the Finder onto an application's window (more complicated but pretty slick once you get it).
