I am getting very frustrated with Application Services so I was wondering if anyone can help me out. I am working on a small update for my program, Skeleton Key. Basically, I want it to be able to open programs and files in the Finder through the Services menu. I am able to get the entry to appear in the services menu but it is always grayed out. In my fiddling with this I realized that NONE of the services are ever enabled in the Finder!!! Is this normal?
Basically, I need to know the pasteboard type used by the Finder when a file (or group of) is selected. Any help?
Yes, this is a bit crap. Apple finally implemented Services in Carbon, but they didn't update their Carbon apps to take advantage of them! They probably will, though, in some future release. They have said that they are aware of this bug.
