I get the error "select: protocol failure in circuit setup" intermittently
when trying to use cvs. The remote host is in another country, about 14 hops away. I can ssh to it (and back again). But cvs works only rarely.

cvs to this server runs fine from my Linux box on the other desk, on the same Ethernet. So there must be a problem with Darwin networking. Any thoughts?
