Where is it? How do I view the output of this log?

Unless you've done something to make it otherwise (e.g. running the app in Project Builder), this should accessable through the Console log.

It's one of the tabs above the editor in 1.x. I didn't install the beta tools, so I couldn't tell you where it is in that one, but I don't imagine it's too hard to find.
