Does anyone know if student developers will get sent Mac OS X 10.2 in the monthly mailing? Did student developers get sent other versions of Mac OS X or the classic Mac OS? I only became a student developer in May so I don't know these things.

Quote from Apple developer mailing page:
"The Apple Developer Connection Mailing is a 12-month subscription that includes the Developer CD Series and other resources for developers. The CD Series includes system software, tools, technical documentation, sample code, and more. The Developer Mailing is distributed on a monthly basis and is customized for ADC Premier, Select, Online, and Student members."
This nearly says that students get the system disks but it uses the word customized... So what is "customized" about the student mailing?

As far as I can tell, my student developer system software CDs are identical to the retail versions, except with a different label. Among other things, I have Mac OS 9.2.1 in about 15 different languages. Kinda useless for me since I can barely speak English correctly.
I suspect that Mac OS X 10.2 will be part of the September or possibly even October dev mailings. Too bad my subscription runs out at the end of August. When you consider that OS X is, what, $69 from the Apple Higher Ed Store, it's a pretty good deal to get the OS and all the developer tools and documentation and sample code for $100.

In my days as a student developer, I received every system software update from 8.5 all the way up to 10.1. Don't worry, you'll get a copy of 10.2, although it might be up to a month after it comes out, depending on the timing of the developer mailings.

The latest ADC news e-mail says that:
"ADC Members who receive a monthly mailing will automatically be sent Mac OS X v10.2 "Jaguar" when it is released"
I was going to sign up for ADC student membership anyway, so now I won't have to pay for Jaguar
