I know this may seem a little strange but we are currently setting up an image library at my institution, and deciding the path to go down for storing image information - So far we have two options iView or developing a WebObjects database.
Both have thier pros and cons.
iView has all the fields we need and exports to web - but is not currently cross platform and the web exports are not as searchable as I would like.
WebObjects on the other hand - scalable, cross-platform, but would take time to develop.
I would be interested to see what you guys think - Thanks in advance.
