This subject seems to be so simple there is no documentation on it. I am working in Obj C++. Please help this newbie to cocoa!

What type of object? You mean like a subclass of NSView? I think we need a little more information before we can answer.

If you traverse up the inheritance tree, you'll get to the NSView class. that's where you'll find the sizing methods: setFrameSize and setBoundsSize.
