I have seen Linux keystroke recorders which run at a level very close to the kernel. Has anyone made any efforts to develop a similar thing for Mac OS X/Darwin?

I think that people are staying deliberately away from the idea; nobody wants to make it easier to develop Mac OS X spyware.
