I know this topic has probably been covered pretty well here but I am at a loss. I've downloaded the Dev tools from Apple twice and cannot get them to install. Both times I downloaded using IE but I did not let StuffIt touch the file. I expanded it using the gnutar command, and each time successfully got the Developer.pkg file. But partway through installation it fails, usually with a message saying something about NSFString (I'm sorry I don't have the exact error). I've tried it logged in as myself and as root. I even re-installed X for the second try at it. Sorry for rambling, I guess my question is: For those of you who managed to download and successfully install the Dev tools, by what means did you download and install it? Thanks in advance....
