I think I may be missing something, because when i try to install the dev tools, it says "installation will take 0 bytes" and the choose a disk thing has no disks available. I have MacOS X running on its own partition, with macos 9 on another. Do I have to install some other software before this? Thanks in advance.

I havn't heard about this problem before but all other problems seems to be caused by Stuffit. Did you unstuff the dev-tools with stuffit or did you use any of the included command line tools like tar or gnutar?

I can't remember exactly what to write but it's something like tar -xzf pathtofile.tar.gz

Look at the older posts for an accurate command
