Hello all,
I was looking over the description of the Oreilly book on Cocoa. I, like many others, still like the old dead tree information transmission. From what I gather, it looks like this book focuses more on the Objective C aspect of Cocoa. I was wondering if anyone had any info about current or future books dealing with programming Cocoa APIs with Java.
I'm also curious about any reviews of the book in general. I wouldn't be opposed to learning another language, if that book presents it well enough for me to do so.
I suppose I cold tolerate some good web resources, but books are just better.

What I'd do is look at the Java and Objective C Tutorials and compare the code on making a temperature app. That will give you a good idea of the similarieties and differences. I really figured out hot to translate Obj_C to Java when I finally got the sample DotView app to Java (as they only have a sample in Obj_C).

Once you can do that, why not go the other way and start thinking in Obj-C, which is the more mature and faster language with the lower overhead for programming the Cocoa API?

Because I know how to use Java API's pretty well and I know how to "do things" in Java that I don't know how to in C.
